The best place to achieve this is on the golf course. After each reasonably well hit shot, pace the number of steps to your ball. Each step represents approximately 1 metre. Using a metre wheel is preferable. The more you do this in different conditions ie headwind, tailwind, uphill, downhill, winter and summer the better you will be able to judge the real landing spot of your driver. By repeating this exercise with your other clubs you will substantially improve your ability to choose the correct club for each shot.
